About the Role
As a Junior AWS & DevOps Engineer, you will be a key part of our cloud team. You will be responsible for assisting in the design, deployment, and maintenance of the AWS infrastructure that supports our applications and services. This role is ideal for an eager learner who wants hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud and DevOps tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and managing core AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
- Support the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripts (Bash / Python) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform / Ansible).
- Work with containers (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes / EKS).
- Follow and implement cloud security best practices, including the management of IAM roles and policies.
- Monitor systems and applications using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar tools and respond to alerts.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to streamline deployment processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience (including strong internships or projects).
- A basic understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
- Familiarity with Linux commands and basic system administration.
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.
- A solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Bash.
- Good communication skills and a strong desire to learn and collaborate as part of a team.
