Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (Cloud Native Backend) to join our Platform Engineering team. You’ll design, build, and optimize the infrastructure backbone of Lyric, ensuring our platform is reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly.
Responsibilities
- Build custom Kubernetes operators to automate infrastructure and app lifecycles
- Develop DevOps tooling to improve developer productivity and deployment reliability
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane
- Champion GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for microservices and data workloads
- Collaborate with developers to design cloud-native, scalable backend systems
- Monitor, secure, and improve reliability of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Requirements
- 2–6 years’ experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering / Cloud Native Backend
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes internals & operator development (Go/Python preferred)
- Experience with IaC frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane)
- Proficiency in GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) is a plus
