About the Role

You will be an AWS Server Engineer at DevBay, which means you will be an essential part of our technical operations team. The entire lifecycle of our server infrastructure in AWS will be under your watch, starting with its initial setup and configuration, continued maintenance, monitoring, and optimization. You will make our cloud system safe, scalable, economically viable, and available at any time to sustain our applications and services.

What You Will Do (Important Responsibilities)

• Develop, implement and operate secure and scalable server infrastructure on AWS.
• Install server, configure, patch and maintain EC2 instances.
• Operate and support the most important AWS services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and RDS.
• Install and operate effective surveillance and notification services with AWS CloudWatch and other applications.
• Implement and enhance AWS security best practices such as control of security groups, IAM policies and encryption of data.
• Become a leader in cost optimization and examine the use of AWS, which areas can be optimized, and what resource changes are needed.
• Address complex infrastructure-related issues and solve them.
• Cooperate with development teams to serve them with infrastructure.

Who That We Are Seeking (Skills and Experience Requirements)

• At least 3 years of practical experience as an AWS Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Systems Administrator, or another similar position.
• Good knowledge and deep understanding of fundamental AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, et cetera.
• Experienced in server setup, configuration (Linux/Windows), and maintenance.
• Strong experience in the field of security, monitoring, and optimization of costs in AWS.
• Very good problem solving and troubleshooting.
• An advantage: DevOps knowledge (such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) and automation.
