About the Role

You as a Software Engineer I will be a part of an active team that creates, tests and maintains state-of-the-art software solutions. Your efforts will support important systems to boost customer boarding, performance, and risk monitoring. In an agile environment, you will work in an interdisciplinary team to create quality, stability, and high-performance applications to help the Mastercard maintain its international standards.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Write powerful and effective application code of multi-component systems.
• Produce clean and high quality code that is to our standards and has excellent unit test coverage.
• Personally attend Agile ceremonies, such as Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Story Grooming, and Retrospectives.
• Work with testing teams to solve defects and to help with automation.
• Make sure that the application is secure by complying with Mastercard tough corporate security guidelines.

What We are seeking (Required Skills and Qualifications):

• Educational Requirement: Bachelors degree (B.E: B.Tech) in Computer Science or in a related field of engineering.
• Basic Technical Abilities: A good command of object-oriented programming in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot to create Microservices.
• API & Database: Good understanding of REST API applications, JPA, Hibernate, RDBMS, PL/SQL, and JDBC.
• DevOps / Cloud - An understanding of CI / CD pipelines with Jenkins, Sonar integration, Tomcat and basic knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure and GCP).
• Professional Characteristics: High communication, teamwork, and organizational, and the willingness to adapt rapidly and acquire new skills.

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience in the front-end frameworks, such as ReactJS or Angular.
• Java, spring or a significant cloud platform certification.
• Previous or prior knowledge or experience in the financial services industry.
