 Rakuten International – Associate Cloud DevOps Engineer

Rakuten International is part of Rakuten Group, Inc., a global Japanese technology leader in E-Commerce, Electronics, FinTech, Internet, and Payments.
We are looking for a passionate Associate Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer cloud & infrastructure technologies: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, KVM), Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Citrix, Cumulus)
• Work on AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, Kubernetes
• Support updates, patches, and version control of infrastructure systems
• Collaborate on building a new developer platform service on hybrid cloud
• Contribute to cloud automation (Networking/Linux) & CI/CD (Jenkins, Git workflow)
• Work with offshore operations & maintain tools + documentation
• Design & maintain multi-cloud infrastructure management systems

Qualifications:

✅ Academic understanding of Cloud & Infrastructure
✅ Hands-on experience with servers, networks, or DevOps tools (academic, project, or professional)
✅ Familiar with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Nomad
✅ Python scripting experience
✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
✅ Detail-oriented, able to prioritize & meet deadlines
✅ Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT, IS, CS, or related field
⭐ Internship experience preferred
