About the Role
Rippling’s Accounting Integrations team builds infrastructure that automates the flow of financial data between Rippling’s products (Payroll, Spend, Travel, Procurement) and ERPs like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Xero. As a Frontend Software Engineer I, you will develop scalable systems to enable real-time accounting automation, improve financial accuracy, and expand Rippling’s global integrations.
This is a high-ownership role where you’ll collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and designers, gaining mentorship while working on high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build robust, scalable accounting integration features.
- Design and maintain workflows to sync financial data with external ERPs.
- Debug and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to code reviews and adopt engineering best practices.
- Participate in product design discussions to solve real customer problems.
- Learn Rippling’s tech stack while receiving ongoing mentorship.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), React, HTML, CSS, and testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization.
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code with high development velocity.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and solve real-world challenges.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Exposure to backend technologies (Python, MongoDB).
- Experience designing SaaS products.
- Open source contributions or competitive programming background.
- Strong CS foundation (Tier 1 institution a plus).
