DevOps Intern (Remote)

Role: DevOps Intern

Duration: 4–6 Months

Remuneration: Competitive Stipend.

Type of employment: PPO/Internship with a Full-Time Offer.

About the Role

You have an important part to play as a DevOps Intern at Branch because you will help the team make our infrastructure dependable, secure, and scalable to sustain our high rate of growth in India. In conjunction with the senior engineers, you will have practical experience with automation of infrastructure, optimization of our CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring and observability of our data-driven products and services.

What You Will Do (Important Responsibilities).

Help to develop and establish CI / CD pipelines of application and data services with such a tool as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Work with the tools of scaling applications and their deployment.
Provide infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code systems, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Support cloud operations in AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda) and/or in its GCP/Azure equivalents.
Install and administer monitoring and alerting systems by means of DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Diagnose staging and production deployment, network, and performance problems.

What We are seeking (Qualifications)

In the process of obtaining or have just obtained a degree in Computer Science or a related course.
Good background in the basics of computer science (OS, networking, scripting).
Practical Linux administration.
Conceptual and tool knowledge of CI/CD.
The experience of a significant cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
A participative, active and willing to learn attitude befitting a rapid surrounding.
Nice-to-have: Work experience with monitoring/alerting tools.
