The Impact You Will Have

In our Bochum office, you will be doing user-facing, product-oriented work, such as integration with GCP Marketplace and FIPS compliance, which will have a direct positive impact on the way our customers deploy and manage SonarQube. Together with the developers, you will enhance the architecture of SonarQube to make it more operable, thus, reliable and performance-wise, to our large open-source community and tens of thousands of corporate users. This role will incorporate an on-call rotation.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Work together with the developers to apply the SonarQube architecture, which will improve its functionality.
• Adopt product oriented characteristics enhancing deployment and administration of SonarQube in both private and public clouds.
• Support and develop our Helm charts and Dockerfiles to deploy efficiently in Kubernetes.
• Manage and control our production SonarQube instance on AWS.
• Enhance our pre-production infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible Infrastructure as Code.

The Experience You Will Need

• Strong DevOps or SRE experience, including a history of increasing system operability and reliability.
• The ability to work with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, such as maintaining Helm charts.
• Experience and expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible (CDK is a bonus).
• Practical work with cloud platform, especially AWS, and its deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Skills in an automation scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
• Good knowledge of networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
• The mindset of problem solver and the capability to work effectively with the software development teams.
