Position: DevOps Engineer (Hadoop/Big Data).

Shift: Night Shift

Compensation: ₹2,20,000 – ₹2,40,000 per annum

About the Role

You are going to be a Devops Engineer and will offer essential support services to our main Hadoop clusters, as well as other tools of our Big Data. Your task will involve automation of deployments, system upgrades, and optimization of configurations to increase efficiency and reliability in our huge distributed environment around the world.

What You Will Do (Major Responsibilities)

• Operational services on Hadoop clusters and other applications like HBase, Scylla, Hive/Hue, Kafka, and Storm.
• Make deployments and operations automatic to enhance efficiency.
• Carry out Hadoop and Hadoop tool upgrades.
• Manage fine-tuning with management applications such as Puppet and InfraDB.
• Arrange deployments and services with Ansible.
• Apply CI operations and protocols of change management via Git and Gerrit.
• Write Python and Bash/Shell monitoring and alerts scripts.
• Several monitoring systems, such as Nagios, Graphite, Grafana, OpenTSDB, and Prometheus, are used to monitor the health of a monitoring system.
• Monitor and solve incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and keep elaborate runbooks.

Who We Are Seeking (Qualifications)

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
• Experience in DevOps, big data infrastructure, or system administration.
• Practical experience with Linux-based systems, automation systems (Ansible/Puppet), and monitoring systems (Grafana/Prometheus).
• Good writing knowledge in Python and Bash.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork ability.
• Should be willing to work night shift on a full time basis.
