About the Role (What You'll Do)

You will be a member of our cross-functional team as a DevOps/SRE, primarily tasked to create and maintain highly available and cost-efficient systems with remarkable uptime. As a first responder, you will be involved in a 24/7, follow-the-sun model of incident management, and Level 1 and Level 2 support tickets and PagerDuty alerts. Your input will play a key role in promoting continuous improvement by performing in-depth root cause analysis (RCA), remediation, and setting up end-to-end monitoring and alerting of every important detail of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand a strong culture of DevSecOps through the construction and maintenance of large-scale distributed systems.
• Act as a first responder to incident and problem management in a 24/7 model.
• Carry out root cause analysis (RCA) and apply permanent remedies.
• Setting and maintenance of end-to-end monitoring and alerting.
• Proactively capture operational tasks and help in knowledge transfer.
• Use automation software, such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Assist CI/CD tooling and practices to facilitate unproblematic deployments.

What Experience You Take (Qualifications Required)

• A B.Tech / B.E. in Computer science or similar technical area.
• At least 2 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration or networking.
• Experience in software development or administration in a public cloud setting (1+ years).
• Experience in languages and technologies: Python, Bash, Linux.
• Cross-functional, demonstrable knowledge in the systems, storage, networking, security and databases.
• Knowledge of automation / orchestration software (Terraform, Chef, Ansible) or container technology (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skilled on CI/CD tooling and practices.
• Very desirable: An established cloud certification.
