DevOps Intern

Proposed Title: Nomisma technology is recruiting a paid Devops intern in Chandigarh / Mohali | PPO Opportunity.

Period: 3 months (can be prolonged to 6 months)

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Help to sustain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).
• Containerize using Docker and perform simple tasks of Kubernetes in non-production.
• Write Infrastructure-as-Code (terraform) with the help of senior engineers.
• Assistance with the installation of monitoring and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Make contributions to release checklists, runbooks, and post-deploy checks.
• Write down steps that can be reused, and maintain internal, how-to, manuals.

Who We Are Seeking (Prerequisite Skills)

• Familiar with Linux, Bash and Git.
• Project or course work/ Experience Exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Simple scripting ( Python is preferable ) of small automations.
• Effective communication abilities and high desire to learn.
• Seeking or having achieved a CS/IT degree (or experience) in a related field.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have Skills)

• A fundamental understanding of AWS services (IAM, EC2, S3, VPC).
• Knowledge of Docker Compose or Terraform modules.
• A project to share and discuss in a home-lab or on GitHub.
