You will be one of the central individuals in our technical support ecosystem because you are a Cloud Support Engineer. Your duties will include solving multi-layered customer support cases that were escalated by our first line support teams, Level 1 support on critical internal accounts, and coordination with the SRE and Product teams in identifying the best solution. A major aspect of your role will be to mentor junior team members and to collaborate with our training teams that will recognize areas of skill development and consequently you will be a real force multiplier.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Address technical customer problems that are communicated through the Support team through JIRA.
- Collaborate with our Incident team to resolve emerging problems with our services and platform.
- Level 1 support of production customer, critical internal production customer accounts.
- Cooperate with Product and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to identify the best solutions to particular customer problems.
- Organize mentorship with the Customer Support team in order to develop the technical and troubleshooting expertise.
- Diagnose the problems with the help of common tools such as MTR, tcpdump, nmap, and open-source tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
The Kind of Person we are seeking (Do What you Love)
- 2 years or more of experience in Cloud Hosting or other technical support-related position.
- Cloud service experience: Virtualization, DNS, Distributed Storage, APIs and Kubernetes in Linux environments.
- Good experience in troubleshooting technical problems with the use of standard tools.
- An extensive knowledge of the basic principles of customer support such as ownership of issues and minimizing customer effort.
- Good interpersonal skills and attitude to problems as a customer.
