Role (What You Will be Doing)

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible of managing and deploying all stages of the build, release, and environment management of our distributed engineering teams. Maintenance, monitoring and testing product builds of ANSYS FBU software on Windows and Linux environments will be your responsibility. This is a combination of automating build processes through Azure DevOps, in-house testing tools, exploring complex build and runtime failures (including compilation and linker errors), and working hand in hand with software development, infrastructure, and testing teams.

What You Will Need (Skills and Qualifications Needed)

Education & Experience:

• One must have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or something related.
• Master degree or 1-3 years of experience in related field is desirable.

Core Technical Skills:

• Code development based on C, C++, or Fortran on Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Good scripting in Python and Linux shell scripting, Windows batch scripting, and Perl.
• Familiarity with build systems, e.g. Makefiles, Scons, or CMake.
• Experience with compilers Visual Studio, Intel and GCC.

DevOps Tooling:

Practical experience in a continuous integration system, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Skills in configuration management tools including Git.

Familiarity with relational databases, in particular MySQL and PostgreSQL.
