Role (Significant responsibilities)

• Being an L1 Cloud Support Engineer, you will be the front line of defense with regard to our cloud operation. You will have the most important responsibilities of making sure that our systems are healthy and reliable.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Check cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and react to alerts and incidents on a timely basis.
• Tier 1/2 Support: Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, troubleshooting of compute, storage, networking, and other cloud services.
• Maintenance: Assist in and perform cloud implementation, patching and maintenance activities as instructed.
• Automation: Script and automate routine operational processes (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools specific to the cloud.
• Collaboration The project team works with project teams on migrations and configuration rollouts.
• Compliance & Documentation: Enforce compliance with policies of cloud security and scrupulously record operational processes, solutions to incidents, and knowledge base articles.

What we are seeking (Qualifications)

• Education: A Bachelor of degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and related area.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of working experience in a cloud support or IT infrastructure or system administration position.
• Cloud Skills: Experience in working with one or more public cloud environments, either AWS or Azure.
• Tools: Knowing monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Automation Basics: Introductory level understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Basic skills: Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and good knowledge of cloud networking, storage and access control (IAM).
• Bonus points are awarded to candidates who have preferred qualifications.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Azure Administrator (AZ-104) is some of the relevant cloud certifications and is highly desired.
