Interclypse, an adaptive and innovation-driven company, is looking for a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site, entry-level position specifically designed for recent technical graduates with limited system administrator experience.
This is not a traditional IT support role. This position is the start of a unique career development program. You will receive direct mentorship from our Director of IT and be empowered with the continuous learning opportunities needed to grow into a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or another advanced technical discipline.

About the Role (What You'll Do)
You will be a key member of our team, using a combination of vendor capabilities (both on-premise and in the cloud) to support our internal corporate needs and numerous customer projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage new and existing applications, tools, services, and cloud environments.
- Manage both Windows and Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) systems.
- Work directly with software engineering teams to support their infrastructure needs.
- Receive hands-on mentorship and guidance from the Director of IT.
Who We're Looking For (Required Qualifications)
We are looking for a self-starter who has a strong desire to program and grow.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Object-oriented programming (OOP) skills (e.g., from coursework or projects).
- Experience with Linux scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
- A solid understanding of networking fundamentals (Subnetting and TCP/IP).
Desired Qualifications (Bonus Points)
- A strong desire to do programming and solve problems with code.
- Experience with Windows Group Policy and PowerShell.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- AWS or Azure Certifications are a significant plus.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
